Lawyer: Death Of Roommate ‘Unfortunate Accident’

AKRON (AP) — An attorney for an Ohio college student charged in the fatal stabbing of his roommate at an off-campus apartment says the death wasn’t a murder but an “unfortunate accident.” University of Akron student Kendal Scheid pleaded not guilty to a murder charge this week in Akron Municipal Court in the death of Duncan Unternaher. Police say the roommate was stabbed in the chest Saturday during an alcohol-fueled argument and died Monday.
