Larry Vuillemin attended the University of Notre Dame on a football scholarship, graduating in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He attended the University of Akron School of Law, graduating in 1973 as Valedictorian. While in law school he was President of the Student Bar Association, was elected to Omnicron Delta Kappa fraternity, and was selected to membership in the National Order of Barristers. He was honored by the law school in 2005 as an Outstanding Alumni for exemplary service to the community and for contributions made in furtherance of the legal profession.
Larry is a former Senior Trial Attorney with the Summit County Prosecutor’s office and an Akron City Councilman. He has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Akron School of Law, is a member of the Akron Bar Asociation and Ohio State Bar Association and is recognized as a member of Outstanding Lawyers of America. Larry’s work over the years in his general civil and criminal trial practice has earned him an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell, which indicates very high to preeminent legal ability and very high ethical standards as established by confidential opinions from members of the bar.
In 2002, Larry was a recipient of the Distinguished Leadership Award presented by Leadership Akron for his work in the business community to strengthen the connection between people’s inner spirit, ethical values, and daily work. He frequently counsels with business and professional leaders on legal, personal and employment related matters.
In 2003, Larry received the Sir Thomas More Award jointly presented by the Akron Bar Association and the Diocese of Cleveland for personal integrity, professional excellence and community service. He was honored in 2006 by Sales & Marketing Executives International (SMEI) with their Founding Principles Award for his work in the business community.
