Appellate court rules CyberCheck should not be ruled out in Javion Rankin murder case

Defense attorney Donald Malarcik has questioned the reliability of the software and the credibility of its creator.

"I would be shocked if prosecutors put Adam Mosher back on the stand," Malarcik said.

"Prosecutors dropped CyberCheck from every single pending case because they know it is worthless."

With the appellate matter resolved, the murder case will continue. Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich told the Akron Beacon Journal that his office does not plan to use CyberCheck until it has verified its reliability.

The Summit County Prosecutor's Office recently dropped CyberCheck reports as evidence in over half a dozen murder cases, including in the Antonio Miller murder trial.
