Jury spares life of man who killed father, two kids in Barberton
AKRON, Ohio — An Akron man who killed a father and his two children during a drug theft will spend the rest of his life in prison.
A Summit County jury recommended Thursday that Eric Hendon be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole instead of the death penalty.
Summit County Common Pleas Judge Amy Corrigall Jones will sentence Hendon on May 4. She cannot sentence him to the death penalty, but she can lower the amount of time until he first faces parole.
